As I see it you'll be good to go.
Do some internet searches of those who have previously performed this use for that application.
I shoot wildcat chambers on my contender and have learned that there is usually more than one way to load a bullet or skin a cat.

My most exotic is 6.5 Carcano!
a lot of wildcats.
Your '06 could become 270, 25-06, or 35 Whelen to me
of course the standard 30 cal would be just fine.
