I would like advice on how to decrease the trigger pull on my Rem. 7600???

I know how to remove the "trigger group". I have factory instructions however these instructions say factory authorized probably based on liability?????

I would like to either file the spring 1/2 turn at a time until I achieve a desired pull wt. Helpful advise and experience is welcome.

Please post your experinces in detail.
    THANKS YOU

On a 760 - just push out the pins, with the hammer in the cocked position. I would stone the trigger hook and sear before removing spring metal. Yours is newer than mine and that means poor machining and finish work to make the lawyers happy.

Your bet bet would be to contact Wolff Springs and see if they have a lighter "kit". Cutting a spring could cause a too weak spring,or excessive play that could cause an unsafe trigger or accidental discharge.
An aftermarket rigger would be a better way to go.
I've been a hobby gunsmith for over 50 years and triggers, other than polishing mating surfaces, should not be modified in any manner unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing and the factory authorizes these modifications.
